As our time in Seville comes to an end—we are headed to Malaga tomorrow to embark in the last two weeks of this academic program—students are making sure they enjoy this wonderful city as much as they can. While they continue to attend classes in the mornings and early afternoons (in fact, they also had to attend classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. on top of their regular to make up for the full day of classes we lost last week due to the local holiday), they are also making sure that they enjoy every single minute they have in this beautiful city. Among the many things students have been doing, they attended their second sevillanas dance lessons last Wednesday evening in our school, they went to the Plaza de España and rented rowing boats, went to the beautiful Reales Alcázares (a side note to Game of Thrones fans such as myself: several scenes from season 5 were filmed in this architectural beauty), and just went on to explore every breathtaking corner of the city. As I write this blog posts, they are taking their final exams (may the odds be in their favor!). Our adventure in Seville, Spain, has sadly come to an end. It has been everything we expected it to be. Our students will always carry Seville in their hearts. They have earned the title of adoptive sevillanos. Until we meet again Seville.
